Imperfect Produce aims to reduce food waste by purchasing ugly produce directly from farmers and delivering it directly to consumers doors. We have partnered with Imperfect Produce to recieve weekly ugly produce shipments that we use to create our delicious food.
Local Farmers
More than 20% of fruits and vegetables in America go to waste because they do not meet the beauty standards for grocery stores. We have partnered with local farmers in the Sacramento area to reduce food waste and educate others on how to incorporate ugly food into their daily meals.
Food Banks
It costs farmers more man power and fuel to donate ugly produce than it does for them to throw them out. We have partnered with Food Banks in the Sacramento area to get farmers higher legislative incentives to donate to Food Banks. Once we get these legislations passed, we will be teaching classes at local food banks on how to incorporate ugly produce into everyday nutritious meals.
